Several years ago, we helped the Zadig & Voltaire team pick out the decor items for their new offices in Soho, NYC- seating, tables, and vintage items to tie back to the founder’s artwork collection which was placed around the office.
We were excited when the team called us again to help with two stores (NYC and L.A.) that were fast approaching … the first, and most pressing being the L.A. location in Beverly Hills.
After the interior architecture had been completed by Z&V, JMS partnered with the
in-house team for the interior design, décor, and final finishes. Our scope was to create a unique color palette and source all the furniture & decorative pieces.
James wanted to create a “pop” for the store that would help lift the interiors for the west coast clientele. He had an Yves Klein paint sample and a matching Holly Hunt fabric on his desk for about six months looking for the right project…this was the perfect match.
We used the bright blue color as a bold gesture in very specific areas: the seating and the large case in the back of the store. The rest of the fabrics and tones are kept neutral. In the fitting rooms, we designed a custom round stool with deep pleats inspired by the Chateau Voltaire in Paris.
