RAPSODIA GIRLS

SHORTLY AFTER BEGINNING ON THE DESIGN FOR THE RAPSODIA WOMEN’S STORE, WE WERE APPROACHED BY THE HEAD OF THE GIRLS DIVISION TO CREATE A FREESTANDING STORE FOR HER FAST-GROWING BUSINESS WHICH WAS READY TO STAND ALONE AS A FULLY FORMED CONCEPT.

WE BEGAN THE STORE AS AN EXTENSION OF THE WOMEN’S BRAND, KEEPING THE BRAND’S DISTINCT AESTHETIC AND VALUES IN MIND. OUR GOAL WAS TO CREATE A SPACE THAT EVOKES A FEELING OF JOY AND PLAYFULNESS FOR THE GIRLS AND THEIR PARENTS.

WE STARTED WITH THE EXTERIOR FAÇADE WHERE WE CONTINUED WITH THE ORIGINAL OLIVE GREEN RAPSODIA BRAND COLOUR BUT ADDED A BIT OF WHIMSY WITH CUSTOM EXTERIOR BLINDS IN SIGNATURE ICONIC RAPSODIA PATTERNS WHICH COULD BE CHANGED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.

FOR THE INTERIOR, WE CREATED A NEW FIXTURE PACK TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE TWO DISTINCT CUSTOMER AGE GROUPS AND PRACTICAL NUANCES SUCH AS STORAGE, SCALE AND EASE OF USE. THE FITTING ROOMS ARE OUR FAVOURITE ELEMENTS; WE CREATED TENTS OUT OF RAPSODIA FABRIC PRINTED ON CANVAS. WE ALSO WORKED WITH THE DESIGN AND MARKETING TEAMS TO COME UP WITH AN IDEA OF “SURPRISE GIFTS” IN THE FORM OF A VENDING MACHINE NEAR THE CASH DESK.

GIRLS CAN PURCHASE COINS TO PUT IN THE MACHINE WHICH WOULD HOUSE A ROTATING ASSORTMENT OF LIMITED EDITION JEWELRY AND SMALL ACCESSORIES.
