Dennis Jauch, the founder of the plant-based coffee shop Coffee & Plants contacted JMS to design the second location of the brand in Studio City - the upcoming area of LA.
We proposed an all pink interior with a modern edge and a limited range of materials - tile, plaster and concrete. We plastered the ceiling and all of the walls to match the tile installed at the shop’s perimeter.
The front is anchored with a very large banquette which we covered in a light pink vegan letter, and the back of the space is anchored with a large counter. We kept the architecture and layout very simple and concentrated on the ease of flow for customers.
The bathroom is the surprise element of the space - we worked with our amazing plaster artist to create a pink degrade of colour inspired by desert landscapes.
